eCykle Klub Danmark group ride.
Overall purpose: To have fun with your in between race training!
Pace: As you like (rubberband will hold the group together to some extent).
You can use this group ride event as
- a social ride
- recovery ride
- warm-up for a following race
- or however you like :-)
The rubberband is at 50 % and turns off when 5 km left of route.
You can think of the rubberband in this way:
"The centre of the rubberband is the average (mean) position of all the humans in the event.
The power of the rubberband is roughly equivalent to 0.5 watt per meter (at 50 % strength) - i.e. if you're 50 meters ahead, then you'll need to be doing (roughly) 25 more watts to maintain that position compared to someone who is in the centre.
It's not quite as simple as that (it's non-linear and has a flat-spot near the middle), but as a rough approximation then it's a good way of thinking about how it works."
Everybody starts together in one pen. Slow start with pacer for 2000 m (start at 1.5 W/kg and end at 2.5 W/kg).
If fewer than 30 humans start the pen will be filled with bots to a minimum of 30 riders.
