This is the opening race of the new Virtual Pro Tour Stage Race Series formerly known as the Monday Mixer. This will be an ongoing series of monthly stage races modeled on World Tour Stage races. This stage race is off to a blazing start with something for every rider type. Short but steep climbs should be valuable for the puncheurs or climbers who want to tire or even drop the sprinters early. Diesel riders have plenty of flats to set a high pace and hurt the rest. The finish right after the downhill rewards the bigger sprinters but most of all great timing. Certainly a stage where many different riders can succeed.
