These threshold blocks are more sustained threshold intervals as compared to our standard threshold progressions that progress from Z2 to Z4. These Threshold Block workouts also get harder faster. These workouts will target your Threshold and help you increase your Functional Threshold Power (FTP) and anaerobic capacity through structured workouts. They are great to add to a peak period after you do threshold progressions during a build period. Coach Jacks Threshold workouts follow a steady progression in intensity from relatively comfortable to fairly hard. However in the Threshold Block workouts the blocks get hard fast.
