This series of workouts is a great way to steadily build your power and fitness over the winter. There is a steady progression each week and the series continues all the way up until the final week of March. It includes a nice mix of threshold, VO2 and anaerobic work, which should see each of your energy systems develop over the course of the 20-weeks, which is particularly useful if you like a bit of racing. RIAK Race Builder 14 - Sweetspot with Anaerobic Kicks

Perform this session with ERG mode ON. Challenge however, is to ensure you cadence remains above 90rpm throughout the sweetspot and anaerobic efforts. If you struggle to keep your leg speed up, turn ERG mode off and do your best to hit the power targets but ensure your cadence is nice and high.
