The point of aerobic endurance workouts is to improve your efficiency at lower intensity levels. Training at lower intensity levels will help your muscles improve their ability to utilize fat as the main fuel source and preserve your precious glycogen stores for late into a race/event.
In this extended version, you'll complete two repetitions of 3x12 min aerobic intervals, each following a short effort at 120-130% LTP.
