Newbury Velo Winter Series-Race 2-ScratchRace

Finished

Welcome to race 2 of the Newbury Velo Winter Racing Series - a series running 2 races every first Tuesday of the month (from Nov-April) - free ride day. This 'Peace loops' scratch race is a (just under) 2 lap (25 km) race, around Greenham Common near Newbury UK, which was a former US Air Base during the Cold War era, made famous by the anti-nuclear protests and peace camp that took place on its perimeter for 19 years from 1981 to 2000. The loop takes us all the way around the common, taking in the hill and winding undulation of Bury's Bank Road to the north and the fast A339 road to the west and south. The race will be a field of 25 (including bots).
